How the Vinted fee works
Every order placed with Vinted's Buy button includes a fee paid by the buyer. Vinted renamed it from Buyer Protection to the Vinted fee with its terms of 5 October 2026; the way it is calculated did not change.
On Vinted France it is generally 5% of the item or bundle price plus €0.70. Vinted says the amount can vary with the item and the order, so treat the result as a close estimate and trust the checkout screen.
Shipping is charged separately and is not part of the fee's base. The fee weighs more on cheap items: almost a fifth of a €5 item, under 6% of a €100 one.

Questions and answers
What does the Vinted fee cover?
It funds Vinted's buyer protection: when an item bought from a private seller is lost, damaged or significantly not as described, you can report it with “I have a problem” within 2 days of Vinted telling you it was delivered. Vinted's help centre lists the exact conditions.
Is it still called Buyer Protection?
Vinted now calls it the Vinted fee (Frais Vinted in France) since its terms of 5 October 2026. Only the name changed; the calculation stayed the same.
Is shipping included in the fee?
No. The fee is calculated on the item or bundle price; shipping is added to the total separately.
Is the fee the same in every country?
Belgium, Germany, Spain and Italy show the same 5% + €0.70 as France. The UK publishes a range instead, usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80: choose United Kingdom above and the calculator shows the lowest and highest fee.
