Vinted shipping: carriers, parcel sizes and what you really pay

On Vinted, the buyer always pays for shipping, but the price depends on the carrier, the parcel size and the addresses. Here is how it works, and how shipping weighs on your margin.

Who pays, who chooses

On Vinted, shipping is always paid by the buyer. At checkout, they pick a carrier among those the seller accepts, and Vinted generates a prepaid label that the seller prints or shows at a drop-off point.

The seller decides two things:

  • The parcel size, suggested by Vinted when listing and confirmed by the seller. Once the item is paid, neither the size nor the carrier can change.
  • The accepted carriers, in their shipping settings. They cannot switch them all off.

Carriers available in France

Vinted labels in France currently cover Mondial Relay, Shop2Shop by Chronopost, La Poste (Colissimo), Vinted Go (lockers and Vinted points) and DHL Express. DPD handles orders that go through an item verification service.

Parcel sizes

Vinted sorts parcels by size. According to La Poste, the three common sizes match these maximum weights:

Size Maximum weight For
Small 500 g T-shirt, accessory, small garment
Medium 1 kg Jeans, jumper, light pair of shoes
Large 2 kg Jacket, coat, high-top shoes

Vinted Go has its own sizes (up to 18 × 30 × 38 cm and 15 kg). Heavier sizes exist for bulky items.

What it costs

Vinted does not publish a price list. The price depends on the size, the carrier and the sending and delivery addresses, and appears at checkout. Some reference points noted on 13 October 2026, to check at checkout:

Option Reference Source
Cheapest shipping on a small item from €2.88 Vinted listing, 13/10/2026
Shop2Shop by Chronopost €2.98 (500 g), €3.86 (1 kg), €4.38 (2 kg) reported by a third-party site, 13/10/2026
Colissimo for Vinted from €3.99 La Poste website

These are enough for one useful conclusion: on a small item, shipping can cost more than the item itself. A €3 T-shirt in practice costs €3 + €0.85 Vinted fee + about €3 of shipping.

Delays

  • The seller has 5 working days to ship. After that, the order can be cancelled automatically unless the buyer agrees to extend the deadline.
  • Delivery usually takes 5 to 7 working days, up to 10 with a verification service.
  • On delivery, the buyer has 2 days to report a problem with “I have a problem”.

What it means for a reseller

For a reseller, shipping counts twice:

  • When buying, you pay it: it is part of your cost price, just like the Vinted fee.
  • When reselling, your buyer pays it: it does not reduce your profit, but it weighs on their decision. A heavy, cheap item sells less easily.

The best answer is the bundle: buying several items from one seller, you pay one shipping, often in a slightly larger size. The shipping and bundle calculator compares both options, and our guide to Vinted bundles explains how to make the most of them.
